Sphere Timer

This Windows Vista Sidebar clock included: Unlimited Alarms, Alternable Countdown and Count Up and Milliseconds Chronometer. The sound alarm is fully configurable and handles many sound file formats, such as: MP3, WAV, MIDI, WMA, AIF e AU.

a little frustrating to use...I'm not generally stupid, but couldn't figure out how to make the timer countdown, other than from 0.000 seconds. Unfortunately, this was precisely the reason I downloaded this gadget.

It's not intuitive to set the countdown, but the answer seems to be just select the time at the bottom left, change it, and then click the down arrow to start the countdown.

Great gadget that I use all the time (no pun intended...;-), but it could use improvements: (1) the alarm sounds can't be stopped if the focus leaves the Cancel flyout - should have an option to play the sound either once or continuously and have an on-clock stop button for the sound; (2) the alarms have to be manually reset daily - each alarm should have a 7-day set of checkboxes allowing for set-once-and-forget functionality; and (3) the skinning should be extensible to allow for custom skins including corporate branding if so desired.

This was what I was looking for put would be great if I would add a job number to the counter.
I can run mutiple counters and keep track of jobs I am working on.

Timer has a bug when counting up and time goes past midnight. Easy to fix, just change Time_To_Seconds function in STimer.js to read:
var totSeconds = (iValueAsTime.getTime() / 1000) ;
return (totSeconds) ;

Agreed, I still can't figure out how to make it countdown from a certain time (ex: set a timer for 25 minutes). Every time I hit "countdown" it just fires the alarm. This is frustrating. Tried to follow Kurt's advice but I guess I'm not in the right place because I can select the time in the bottom left (highlight it with the mouse) but nothing happens.
