Somehow I can't install it. After downloading and opening the file it just never appears in the sidebar or the menu with all the gadgets in it...

does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

To Flo:
From what i know, the gadget will not show if there is an syntax error in the JS file, but this cant be the problem as it works here on my laptop.
Try comment out the main portion of the code and locate the problem, maybe that will give an answar.

And of course tjeck that you have a valid internet connection.

I finally did it...
Here is how you install it, if you have the same problem, I had:

1. download the gadget to your desktop or any folder you like.

2. go to the following directory
"C:\Users\#Name#\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets"

3. create a new folder called "Calvin.gadget"

4. use a zip-program to find the "en-us"-folder inside the gadget-file and extract its content (3 folders and 4 files) in the Calvin.gadget-folder (as discribed above)

5. done - now open the sidebar "add gadget"-menu and you should find the great Calvin and Hobbes gadget ready to be added to your sidebar.

it appears on the side bar but when i click on it the cartoon doesn\'t appear... i see the cross sign when a picture can\'t be opened on the web..

I\'m having the same problem and can\'t get the gaget to work either, I\'ve had it work before about a couple months ago but now it just doesn\'t work, can anyone help
